OPPORTUNITY: SG Analytics client was appointed by one of its existing long-term clients as a sell-side advisor for a new assignment related to its healthcare business unit. The client team did not have strong expertise in the healthcare industry and was in the midst of a high-pressure deal already.


Given that SG Analytics had already established itself as a strong partner in supporting the client on all live deals, the client engaged SG Analytics as an extended team throughout the deal lifecycle.

  • SG Analytics assigned two healthcare sector experts and an experienced supervisor for this project with a combined experience of 20 years. The team worked from a dedicated service area within SG Analytics premises and a secured FTP connection with multi-level data access & control systems to ensure information security.
  • Origination: The SG Analytics team helped the client screen potential buyers in Europe through an exhaustive screening process using various data sources like CapitalIQ, Thomson One, Bloomberg, Gartner, and Frost & Sullivan
  • Marketing: The SG Analytics team assisted in building the pitchbook along with a detailed financial model including scenario analysis and relevant case studies. The pitchbook included sections such as peer analysis, industry research, precedent transactions analysis, and detailed profile of the shortlisted potential buyers.
  • Execution: The SG Analytics team assisted the client with due diligence and preparation of the data room. As a value-add, SG Analytics, on a complimentary basis, offered its editorial and desktop publishing services to improve the marketability of the document.
